PROTECTION OF RIGHT TO LIFE IN AN ATTEMPT TO COMMIT CULPABLE HOMICIDE

On the 22/07/2023 JUYAF received information of a girl named Hauwa’u Tijjani a 15 years old, neglected by her parents. Members of organisation went to the house of her Father Tijjani Shamaki at Matsango Azare to confirm the incident, JUYAF members found the living skeleton girl lying on a mat helplessly. It was gathered that she was kept at home since the beginning of her sickness for three years without taken her to the hospital. And her mother has been divorce long time ago, her step mother is not taken care of her, only her younger sister that used to bring her out from the room and kept her outside until night when she takes her back to the room. JUYAF rush the victim to General hospital Azare and invited her divorce mother to remain with her in the hospital, JUYAF arrested her father through the Police S.I.B Azare and he was detained at the Police Station Azare for Cruelty to Child and lack of parental care. Victim was later transfer to FMC Azare where she continues to receive medical attention presently she has gained strength that she can sit, eat and drink like other children.
Justice has been served/done in her case.
